WHEN?: October 30 – November 1, 2024.
WHERE?: Wyndham Grand Barbados, Sam Lord’s Castle.
BACKGROUND:
The Ministerial Forum for Development in Latin America and the Caribbean was held for the first time in 2007 to provide ministers and other decision-makers with a space to discuss experiences in public policies around human and social development, and to identify responses to the new challenges of the region. Since 2015, the Forum has been organized in coordination with the Regional Conference on Social Development in Latin America and the Caribbean. The main theme of the Fourth Session of the Regional Conference on Social Development, organized virtually in 2021 by ECLAC, the Government of Antigua and Barbuda and UNDP, was “Disasters and inequality in a protracted crisis: towards universal social protection systems, integral, resilient and sustainable in Latin America and the Caribbean”.
