In addition to new phones, Xiaomi has unveiled at its event today a new affordable tablet and a more complete version of its Smart Band 7. The first of these devices is something like the economic version of the Xiaomi Pad 5, now with the Redmi seal, while the second adopts the design of one of those quantifying bracelets that almost aspire to be a smart watch, offering a larger screen and a perhaps slightly more elegant design.

Xiaomi Redmi Pad: moderate price and matching features

Starting with the tablet, the Xiaomi Redmi Pad is a device with good dimensions, thanks to the use of a 10.61-inch LCD panel. Under this screen we find a chipset MediaTek Helio G99, enough for intermediate type games and the usual multimedia tasks, although the amount of RAM chosen (from 3 to 6 GB) can quite limit its real capacities. These are its characteristics:

Other notable aspects are its metal construction and a generous battery that reaches 8,000 mAh.

  • Display: LCD, 10.61 inches, 2000 x 1200, 90Hz
  • Processor: MediaTek Helio G99
  • Memory: 3/4/6GB LPDDR4X
  • Storage: 64/128 GB UFS 2.2

In Spain, for now, we will not see the model with 6 GB of RAM, offering only those with 3 and 4 GB in the following configurations and prices:

  • Redmi Pad 3 + 64 GB: 279 euros
  • Redmi Pad 4 + 128 GB: 329 euros

Finally, the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro is a quantifying bracelet for those consumers who want something a little more eye-catching in aesthetics and visible in practice. To do this, it has a new 1.64-inch 486×280-pixel AMOLED screen that is much larger than that of the model from which it descends, otherwise offering the classic characteristics of measuring oxygen saturation in the blood, cardiac monitoring, intensity measurement of the exercise performed, calories consumed etc.

One point in favor of the Smart Band 7 Pro is that it has satellite positioning (GPS, Galileo, etc.) to be able to manage training routes without having to carry your phone, all with a battery that, with an estimated average use, is It is about 12 days long.
