As we can see on the Twitter account of Agatha Tang, director of PR for Xiaomi International products, Xiaomi would have been working on a concept that unites the Xiaomi 12S Ultra with Leica lenses to provide us with what is primarily a very similar to what we can find in Mirrorless cameras.
This type of camera, which comes to replace the classic DSLR, closed the gap between the latter and smartphonesthat although they have to fight against their own problems derived from the small size -especially thickness- that is expected of themhave dramatically improved image quality thanks to the latest sensor technology.
What Xiaomi shows here is what happens if we combine one of these latest generation sensors, that already have sizes to take into accountwith a full-size lens designed for use on “real” mirrorless cameras, i.e. cameras developed solely and exclusively for taking images.
The reality is that the results seem more than satisfactory, but obviously, the main problem with taking a lens everywhere is that, already put, we take the camera to which said lens corresponds instead of a smartphone. There is also another problem, and that is that this is nothing more than a concept that will not reach the market.
