Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will have a world to explore and characters that can be merged in combat

Nintendo has shared details about the game’s mechanics and features. Xenoblade Chronicles 3, which will arrive on July 29 with a world that players can explore with six soldiers from enemy nations.

In Aionios, the world of this installment, there are two opposing nations: Keves and Agnus, whose soldiers fight every day risking their lives. Six soldiers from both enemy nations are entrusted with a special mission, in which they must decide whether to continue to hate each other or join forces to find a way to survive.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 players will have a world to explore freely or with the navigation function to avoid getting lost. The places they visit will be saved as bookmarks, making it easier to move around, as Nintendo shared this Wednesday in a new Direct broadcast.

On their journey, players will be able to stop in the colonieswhere in addition to meeting new characters you can accept quests, and in resting places. These spaces will also allow us to learn a little more about the lives of Noah and his friends.

in the fighting, players will be able to use arts, the name given to abilities that characters have, to unbalance or deal damage to enemies or heal allies. These arts can be linked together to execute more damaging chain attacks.

Also, the characters will be identified with a class, which will determine your way of fighting. Players will be able to switch between the characters they control in battle and will also be able to adopt the same class as their allies.

And although the team is made up of six characters, during the trip they will meet other inhabitants of this world, the heroes, who can help in combat with their weapons and skills. Only a hero can be part of the team as a seventh member in every fight.

On the other hand, two characters on a team can establish a link between them and merge to transform into a powerful form that takes the name of Ouroboros.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will arrive on Nintendo Switch on July 29, but the world of Aionios can be expanded with expansions that will arrive in four installments from its launch until the end of 2023.
