Xbox has published an image in which a device not yet officially presented by the company can be identified, which could be the device on which it has been working for months to play in ‘streaming’ from the TV without a console.
Xbox CEO Phil Spencer announced at the end of 2020 that his team was preparing a ‘hardware’ complementary to your Xbox Game Pass subscription service. This device would not require the use of a console to play on the television and would be compatible with Xbox controllers.
The company reconfirmed it in June 2021, when Spencer announced the arrival of Xbox Game Pass on more screens, although it did not specify more details about the new device. nor when would its launch take place.
The director has recently published an image on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Fallout in which you can see different references to video games, such as a replica of the symbol of the Fallout Boy video game, developed by Bethesda, as well as video game covers Life Is Strange Y Halo Infinity.
On the other hand, you can see several awards from Ship It from Microsoft and the Xbox badge. On this same shelf, an unknown device with the integrated brand logo has caught our attention, located next to a console controller.

This device, which Xbox has not officially presented nor is it included in its catalog of currently marketable products, looks like the Xbox Series S, since it shares the same white color, but is smaller in size. In fact, this other console also appears in the image, thus proving that they are different devices.
Several users have suggested via Twitter that this device could correspond to the one announced by the manufacturer a few months ago, to which they have attributed the name of Xbox Streaming Box. Others, on the other hand, believe that the object in the image could be a hard drive for Xbox Series S.
At the moment, Xbox has not clarified what “hardware” it is, nor has Spencer.
