Life is getting more and more expensive… and we are not referring to the basic basket, but to entertainment through Microsoft consoles. Bill Gates’ company applied an increase in the price of Xbox GamePass. As of today, several countries in the world will have to spend more for the same services that they have been receiving for years according to each plan.
The gamer community has detected a jump from 9.99 to 10.99 dollars for the standard version of the Xbox GamePass for consoles, and from $14.99 to $16.99 for the Ultimate version. The only Xbox Game Pass plan spared from the hike is the PC version (£7.99/$9.99).
The price table was as follows according to the main currencies of the market. The change will be effective for most countries, with the exception of Xbox GamePass for consoles in Norway, Chile, Denmark, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia.
- Xbox Game Pass (Console) – £8.99 / €10.99 / $10.99
- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate – £12.99 / €14.99 / $16.99
It should be noted that existing monthly subscribers will not see the price changes until August 13, or September 13 in Germany. Meanwhile, for those with an annual subscription, the new price won’t take effect until it’s time to renew.
Microsoft also announced that the price of the Xbox X-series it will increase in several countries from August 1, except in the US, Japan, Brazil, Chile and Colombia. The new generation machine will retail for £479.99 in the UK, €549.99 in most of Europe, $649.99 in Canada and $799.99 in Australia.
