Xbox Game Pass Standard does not offer day 1 releases on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S

Xbox Game Pass has established itself as one of the best services in the gaming industry by offering a great lineup of titles: from AAA games of own studies until indie jewelry. Without a doubt, one of its best benefits was the Day 1 premieresthat is, proposals that have joined the catalogue from the moment they are first launched on the market; however, now this is an advantage that only a few people will be able to take advantage of.

In mid-June, Microsoft announced a new tier for its paid program: Xbox Game Pass Standard, which replaces the original plan that was available on consoles. It costs $14.99 USD per month and offers online multiplayer and a wide collection of first-party and third-party video games.

The catch with this new plan is that it doesn’t offer Day 1 releases, even for games developed by Microsoft studios. As a result, people who want to enjoy those titles from the start through the service will have to subscribe to the tier Xbox Game Pass Ultimatewhich is now available in exchange for $19.99 USD monthly, or PC Game Pass.

While the company warned that Xbox Game Pass Standard would not give access to the day 1 releasesmany thought that by returning to the service they would still be able to enjoy the titles that were already available; however, there is bad news on that front.
