One of the consoles best remembered by Nintendo fans is undoubtedly the Wii, a platform that revolutionized the style of play and invited gamers to get up from their armchairs. Many years have passed since its release and now a modder has just created a giant model with some new features.
As you will surely remember, what was initially known as Nintendo Revolution surprised the community by using motion controls to give a unique experience. However, it had several limitations that fans criticized.
It is because of this that a modder decided to create a much larger and improved version of the console that will surely appeal to those who once had a Wii in their collection.
Here you can see it:
As you can see, the so-called Wii XL was created by modder and YouTuber Jon Bringus, who thought he could improve the hardware by making it bigger.
The result is a console that looks “12 times bigger” than the original and has all the same features, plus added enhancements like HDMI support that can scale up to 1080p.

“It’s roughly a 2:3 to 1 scale model of the Wii and 12 times larger in volume. Since there’s a regular Wii inside, you can do everything a Wii can do with this thing, including reading game discs, connect GameCube controllers, use memory cards and USB devices,” said the modder.
