In an era where games-as-a-service shut down two weeks after launch, keeping an MMO on a monthly subscription for 20 years is a miracle. That’s what Blizzard Entertainment has achieved with World of Warcraft, and the company is celebrating with an event whose details were revealed today. Additionally, this year the Warcraft franchise turns 30, while Hearthstone celebrates its first decade.

The World of Warcraft (WoW) 20th Anniversary Celebration event will run throughout November and December, during which players will be able to participate in quests and activities to earn Bronze Celebration Tokens to purchase items, including items from previous anniversaries and new ones. The first notable activity will be the return of Blackrock Depths, a raid that can be completed in groups of 10-15 players on Raid Finder, Normal, and Heroic difficulties. The raid has been updated and features eight main bosses and five mini-bosses.

Players will be able to participate in a new Timewalking event to visit the original Deadmines, Zul’Farrak, Dire Maul (East and West Wings), and Stratholme dungeons. As part of this event, a vendor will be offering mounts, pets, and transmogrification skins. A new mount has also been created, as well as skins inspired by the sword, shield, and crown that Blizzard gives to its employees to celebrate their time with the company. There are also toys and pets available.

For those looking for a new transmog set, the event will offer fully modernized classic tier 2 sets, including the Paladin’s Judgment armor, one of the most iconic outfits in the game. Classes that didn’t exist when this feature was implemented will receive a new set, bringing the total to thirteen nine-piece class sets offered.

Finally, there are a number of activities outside of the Caverns of Time, including the appearance of several world bosses such as Doomwalker, Azuregos, Lord Kazzak, the Nightmare Dragons, and a quest about the opening of the gates of Ahn’qiraj that 10 to 20 players can participate in via the group finder. And to celebrate 30 years of Warcraft, players can earn four back skins in the form of shields representing the Warcraft III factions at the November Trading Post: Orcs, Humans, Night Elves, and Scourge.
