The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), in collaboration with the Agricultural Research Institute of the Chilean Ministry of Agriculture (INIA), the Ibero-American Network for the Digitalization of Agriculture and Livestock (RIDAG) and coordinated with the Regional Government of Arica and Parinacota; organize this workshop that seeks to be a meeting point for the agri-food innovation network of the Arica and Parinacota region in Chile and to establish synergies with experiences from Latin America and Europe to generate opportunities towards the development of sustainable, safe and quality agriculture .
This instance is carried out within the framework of the productive and territorial development project coordinated by ECLAC, with support and financing from the European Union.
Specific objectives
- Present the Arica and Parinacota Territorial Hub and establish its relationship with the “Arica and Parinacota Regional Innovation Strategy 2022 – 2030” generated by the GORE.
- Show attendees the possibilities of expansion of agriculture under the new digital technologies that are currently being developed.
- Present the possibilities of implementation of new digital technologies in the context of the Region of Arica and Parinacota.
- Generate the bases to strengthen a joint work of the institutions involved, complementing efforts by establishing synergies between the institutions.
