Woman and girl killed after drone hits vehicle in Ukraine

A 25-year-old woman and a 12-year-old girl died on Saturday when a Russian kamikaze drone struck a vehicle in Nikopol, southeastern Ukraine.

The military governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Sergei Lisak, reported the incident on his Telegram account and said that two other people were injured in the explosion.

“A 12-year-old girl and a 25-year-old woman were killed. Two people were injured, a 4-year-old girl and a 25-year-old man,” Lisak said. “This was an inhuman attack with a kamikaze drone on a car in which there were people,” he added. The injured have been hospitalised and the child is in a serious condition.

Russian forces have launched about two dozen artillery and drone strikes in the Nikopol district, Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform reports.

Twelve more people have been injured when a Russian anti-aircraft missile hit a residential building in Kharkiv, according to the city’s mayor, Igor Terejov.

“It has been confirmed that the KABU has hit a multi-storey residential building. We are aware of at least 12 casualties,” he also said on Telegram.
