The Minister of Mines and Energy, Andrés Camacho, reported, through his X account, that this Saturday, October 26, an agreement was signed with miners from Marmato (Caldas)one of the points where blockages were recorded during the week.

According to Camacho, it is “a historic agreement to advance formalization and ownership in one of the regions whose mining supported the country’s first independence. This is how the Government advances the democratization of mining, for La Paz. “The strike is lifted”.

With the signing of this agreement, the last of the three blockades that affected vehicle traffic in sensitive parts of the country for five days were lifted.

On Friday, the Government reached an agreement with the miners of the Bajo Cauca Antioqueñowhile this Saturday the strike was also lifted in North of Santanderon the Cúcuta-Bucaramanga road.
