With partial blockade, the National Government started a spending freeze

This Thursday, June 6, The Ministry of Finance reported that it made the decision to carry out a partial blocking of some allocated spending appropriations to all entities that are financed with resources from the General Budget of the Nation.

The Government explained that partial and temporary blockades are carried out on those appropriation items that to date do not have Budget Availability Certificates (CDP) issued and that ongoing contractual processes are not affected, that is, “no CDPs already issued have been blocked“.

As explained by the portfolio, the measure implies:

– A lock preventive appropriations without Certificate of Budget Availability (CDP) issuedyes as the first adjustment factor.

– Protocolization of the measure to freeze appropriations before the Confis and the Council of Ministers, “a step that is advancing at a good pace and of which the President of the Republic and the Council of Ministers are aware“.

– The freezing of the items that are incorporated in the postponement decree.
