Wine consumption increases in the country

Wine sales have grown by 12% in the accumulated of 2022 compared to 2021 and, according to Nielsen, wines occupy the second position in the sales ranking in the country with a importance of 14.2%, after beers.

The data was revealed yesterday by the president of Grupo Éxito, Carlos Mario Giraldo, at the presentation of Expovinos, which will once again be face-to-face in its 17th edition, after two years of being held virtually due to the pandemic.

This event considered one of the most important in Latin America for the consumer will be in Corferias from August 11 to 14.

Expovinos will also have a presence at more than 200 Éxito and Carulla stores of the country and on websites, after the good results of the activity in the previous two years, according to Giraldo.

For four days, with the participation of more than 100 national and international guests, who from the ‘School of wine’ will have about 60 conferences. Likewise, 14 blind tastings are scheduled to choose the best wines of the fair, gastronomic shows, 170 live musicians and a store with more than 800 references, which will have promotions for visitors.
