The vast majority of traffic that Windows Task Manager receives is for a single purpose, and it is to finish a task that has been blocked or does not respond to our clicks on the button to close the window. However, it seems that this is about to change, leaving the task manager in the background.
This has been discovered, as we read on Twitter, as a hidden feature of Windows 11 version 25300, where the ViVe Tool is able to enable it with the command “vivetool /enable /id:42592269”. Once this is done, we can see a new button in the context menu of any icon on the taskbar.
As we can see on these lines, we will simply find an additional button that will allow us to close the process more forcefully than if we simply click the close button, something that sometimes does not work if the application is completely frozen.
However, for now it seems that it is not possible to get the button to work, so there will surely be a version of Windows where the end task button works properly, later. For now, we can only wait for the development to continue.
