The Nintendo Direct left a very good taste, as it was loaded with very important titles that will debut in the first half of 2023. However, something that left some uncertainty was the increase in the launch price of $70 USD of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, as fans wondered if Nintendo would start charging this amount for all their games. Well, in the midst of the confusion, the company responded.
The uncertainty surrounding the price of Nintendo Switch games, at least the exclusive ones, grew so much that Nintendo decided that it would be best not to remain silent and shortly after the Nintendo Direct cleared up doubts.

Will Nintendo sell all of its exclusive games for $70 USD?
Game Informer contacted Nintendo for answers on whether Nintendo games would start to sell for more. The interesting thing is that Nintendo was quick to explain that this is not a trend that it will adopt from now on.
According to the company spokesperson, “recommended retail prices for any Nintendo product are determined on a case-by-case basis.” That being said, just as there is the possibility of Nintendo releasing more games that cost $70 USD, it is also possible that there will be more new titles that sell for less.
In case you missed it: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom revealed how well it will be heard in Latin Spanish.
However, the answer is ambiguous. Since Nintendo could have used the “case by case” to refer in general to large productions and smaller games. In that sense, there is the possibility that high production games (such as Metroid Prime 4) sell for $70 USD and other smaller ones (such as WarioWare: Get It Together!) are cheaper ($50 USD). To find out, we will have to wait to see a release as important as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
As we told you, fortunately in Mexico and other regions the price increase was not so much, since it is possible to find The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on the Nintendo eShop for $1,600 MXN.
