We get bad news for all the Nintendo Switch users who are waiting Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hopesince those responsible have just confirmed, after several rumors, that the new installment will not have a multiplayer mode.
If you are one of the gamers who enjoyed Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, you will know very well that it had a local multiplayer mode for 2 people. However, if you thought that the options in this regard would improve in the sequel to the game, you better not get too excited.
Unfortunately, the team responsible for the title has just confirmed that they decided to enhance the single player experience, so we share the words of the game’s producer, Xavier Manzanares, in a recent interview with Screenrant:
“We decided in the middle of production to focus on the solo experience. Because really, since we brought a lot of things from the original concept, we started to see how many elements were added to the table, and to balance this revamped system, we wanted to focus our attention on the individual aspect,” said Manzanares.

In addition, the producer stated that they did not want the project to get out of hand in many directions that would surely not end up in the final game, so they decided to make this decision to focus on one thing.
It is worth mentioning that the official Nintendo site itself indicates this adventure of Mario and the Rabbids as a single-player experience, so fans will surely be a little disappointed.
