In this regard, the creative said that he is not interested in working again on the Square Enix JRPG franchise, especially because his life in relation to video games is more that of a consumer than a creator. However, he mentioned that he enjoys, and a lot, Final Fantasy XIV.

Unfortunately, the Japanese creative said that he has no interest in reviving those franchises, so they will remain as part of his work and are unlikely to see a new release.

Finally, Sakaguchi spoke about his renewed relationship with Square Enix for the release of Fantasian Neo Dimension on consoles and PC: “I was a little worried about how people would feel about working with me, maybe they would have mixed feelings. It was actually a pretty warm welcome. Once the news was announced, I got tweets from a lot of current Square staff saying, ‘Welcome back, Sakaguchi. ‘ Some people I know, some I don’t.
