Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp was delayed by the war earlier this year and since then Nintendo has not offered a clear update on its new release date and apparently the wait will not end soon, but could well extend until 2023.

A new Nintendo Direct was held today and left a lot of game information. There are some fans of the brand who, however, expected to see the reappearance of Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp with a new release date, but it did not happen, which made many suspect the worst: that Nintendo plans to cancel it.

doAdvance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp will it be cancelled?

It’s important to remember that today’s Nintendo Direct was focused on games that would arrive in the winter of this year, so the title could well have been delayed until 2023.

Given the uncertainty generated, the member of AxiosStephen Totlio, contacted Nintendo to ask if Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp would be canceled given the lack of news about the game.

The interesting thing is that Nintendo responded through a spokesperson, who confirmed that this is not the case, but that it is a simple delay: “We will announce the new date once it is determined.”

Why Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp still no date?

Nintendo was originally going to release the game in December 2021, but due to lack of development time, it was delayed until 2022. It was early February 2022 when Nintendo revealed that it would arrive in April, but, after the outbreak of the war, 1 month later announced an indefinite delay that has lasted until today.

The company limited itself and did not say how long the delay would be. Let’s remember that we are talking about the same company that mentioned 7 years ago that Pikmin 4, just announced today, was almost done. So even “soon” shouldn’t be taken for granted.

In case you missed it: a player was able to get Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Campbut Nintendo later revoked the license.

Unfortunately, the war has not ended, so it is not ruled out that the company is seriously waiting for the conflict to come to an absolute end to finally launch the game, especially if we take into account that the theme of the title is war strategy. .

Nintendo has proven to be a globally aware and cautious company when it believes its activities may have an impact beyond the gaming world, such as changing plans for its UK Nintendo Direct.
