01.) “Read your mind”

02.) “Feather”

03.) “Vicious” (rock mix)

04.) “It’s over”

05.) “Please Please Please” (Live Debut)

06.) “Tornado Warnings”

07.) “I bet you want”

08.) “Fast times”

09.) “because I liked a boy”

10.) “Espresso”

New music from Sabrina Carpenter

On Friday, August 23, Carpenter released her sixth studio album “Short n’ Sweet.”

Clocking in at just 36 minutes, the record is short and sweet, but also edgy and sensual. It’s a big step forward for the budding pop star. In our opinion, this sonically adventurous album is packed with hints of folk, R&B, synth rock and country.

Standout tracks, aside from the ubiquitous, lush “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” include the downbeat, chillwave-inducing “Don’t Smile,” the charming “Slim Pickins” (this song may be the very definition of “modest”) and the moralistic “Taste.”

Also check out the dreamy Olivia Rodrigo-esque track, “Lie To Girls.” The urgent lyrics are also a punch in the gut. “You don’t have to lie to girls/ if they like you/ they’ll just lie to themselves” It will be floating around in our brains rent-free for months, and for good reason: that’s a tough blow.

Do you want to listen?

You can find “Short n’ Sweet” here.

Amaarae

The 30-year-old R&B singer has a pair of studio albums under her belt: 2020’s “The Angel You Don’t Know” and 2023’s “Fountain Baby.”

If you haven’t heard her before, we recommend starting with her hit “Sad Gurlz Luz Money” and then trying the brave “Angels In Tibet” and the soft “sweeeet”.

Their complete discography can be found here.
