Fixed, section, mobile radars… and even the rumor that the alleged jellyfish radars have arrived, which, deep down, are not radars. The DGT has a wide range of tools to control speed of drivers who violate the maximum speed allowed, but… where are they?
On regular basis, Associated European Motorists (AEA) publishes the data with the radars that fine the most in our country. These are data that they obtain from the DGT, for which they have explained to us that in order to be able to do this work they depend on the publication or not of these figures by the organization.
The radars that fine the most in Spain
It must be taken into account that when carrying out these accounts, AEA does not include the radars that fine the most in the Basque Country and Catalonia, since in these regions the powers in terms of traffic are transferred.
In addition, the mobile cinemometers or the sanctions imposed by Pegasus are not included, since these cannot be to locate at a specific point. It must be borne in mind that, even if it is public, finding fixed speed cameras on the traffic web is becoming more and more complicated.
With the data that AEA has collected, we observe that the radar located at kilometer 478 of the AP-7 in the province of Valencia is the one that collected the most complaints in the last count of this summer, with a total of 60,525 sanctions. They are followed by those located at kilometer 128 of the A-15 in Navarra (57,961 complaints) and at kilometer 246 of the A-7 in Malaga (47,246 complaints).
