WhatsApp works on isolated contacts for each of your accounts

Last year WhatsApp introduced one of those new features that is not easy to implement, How was the possibility of supporting multiple app accounts on the same device?.

To prevent this from being a problem, in the beta version for Android 2.24.18.14, has been located a granular controls feature for syncing contacts between multiple accounts.

This feature will allow us to keep our contacts in one account separate from another account with an option to allow certain contacts of our choice to be synced between the two accounts.

This will no longer sync your entire address book across the two accounts, but we can select the ones we want to end up synchronizing.

This is ideal for keeping your professional and personal contact lists separate.

Also, if a contact that we have previously synchronized in the two accounts, we no longer want it to be that way, We also have the option to cancel the synchronization.

It also appears that they are working on a contact backup option that will ensure that synced contacts remain backed up in the cloud.

It is not clear when all these new features will be included in the stable version, but given that WhatsApp is quite slow when it comes to releasing new features, it could be 2025.
