WhatsApp on Windows 11 now lets you pin messages and share content easily

In addition to all the new features that WhatsApp is receiving on our mobile devices, the truth is that the application for Windows also works phenomenally, although unfortunately the new features that we see on mobile devices take a long time to reach the desktop version.

However, we already have a new version of WhatsApp in the Microsoft Store that you can install on both Windows 10 and Windows 11, and that includes two very important new features that mobile users have already been enjoying for a few weeks. We talked of pinned messages and an improved user interface for sharing.

On the one hand, we have the possibility of pinning messages, and by right-clicking on the messages we are interested in, we can select “pin” and then pin them for a certain amount of time.

Specifically, you can set up to three messages, and the limit can be set for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.

While it is possible to pin messages in a group, admins will have more control over who can pin messages.

The other novelty is the integration of Windows Share

With this we will have a new share button that appears when you right-click on videos, images or messages.

By selecting the “share” option, You can use the Windows user interface to share text or multimedia content.

You can even email selected media or text, or send the content to your mobile or other device using the Windows Share user interface.

You can also use Nearby Sharing to share all of this selected content on WhatsApp with devices connected via Bluetooth.
