WhatsApp is becoming more like Instagram; integrates 'likes' and mentions

‘Likes’ are represented with a green heart emoji and, like in other social networks, they are private and are not counted, that is, only the person in whose status the like is added will be able to see it in their list of likes. viewers (unless you have the reading function disabled, which also blocks the ability to see who viewed your status).

This icon will be found at the bottom right every time a user views a status.

People who are mentioned in a status will receive a private notification and will be able to share the content in which they have been mentioned in their own account.

The mentions will work the same as in the app’s messages, that is, you must enter an “@” and the contact’s name to tag someone.

According to WhatsApp, these functions are beginning to be implemented and will be available around the world little by little for people who have the latest version of the application.

This is the second update notice that the app has given so far in October. Starting the month, the platform indicated that it would now be possible to add filters and backgrounds to video calls.
