Meta recently announced that WhatsApp for Wear OS would be released to smartwatch users around the world in the coming days, and after months of testing, the standalone app for Google system smartwatches is now available for general public download.
As we read in The Verge, the rollout begins today, and this app should be compatible with all Wear OS 3-equipped smartwatches. To avoid confusing users, WhatsApp smart watch app is as simple as it gets.
The main features offered by the application are the ability to send and receive text and voice messages, as well as emojis and quick responses. It may sound quite basic, but this is more than enough considering that all these functions are available from our wrist, and if we want to make more intensive use of WhatsApp, we should already use our smartphone anyway.
watchOS users have not been blessed with the same level of supportSo your WhatsApp experience will be quite limited compared to Wear OS users. Apple Watch users cannot send messages or make calls through their watch using WhatsAppbut they can reply to messages from their wrists.
