We had already talked about this before, but finally WhatsApp has launched call links to a greater publicsome links that will allow us to join a group call without being part of the respective group, something that will go quite well for sporadic meetings with people who are not normally part of our environment.
It is expected that the deployment of this feature will be gradual, because as we read in PhoneArena, the deployment of this feature is expanding by the moment, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to be instantly global.
Be that as it may, this feature will allow WhatsApp users to make group calls, with or without video, which can be accessed with just a link. This link will be valid for 90 days and can accommodate up to 32 people simultaneously, but it is unknown if this will imply a limit of 32 accesses in this link, or the capacity of 32 people is for the call room itself.
For now, this function is only supported in the mobile application, so we will not be able to join a call from our computer through one of these links, so that for business uses it loses a bit of the meaning that it would charge when it is fully compatible.
