The labor reform continues its process in the plenary session of the House of Representatives. Until now, yesand has given endorsement to 64 of the 80 articles that make up the text that is under discussion.

Among the sections that have been approved include two that talk about the provisions for the worker regarding overtime and supplementary work. To be more exact, these are articles 15 and 16.
Article 15 establishes that employers must keep a record of each worker’s overtime work. This must specify the name, activity carried out and number of hours worked, specifying whether they are daytime or nighttime.
The text also indicates that the employer is obliged to deliver this document to the worker who requests it, along with the support that proves the corresponding payment. This taking into consideration that the daytime covers the period between 6:00 am and 7:00 pm., and the night time from 7:00 pm to 6:00 am

Article 16, for its part, defines that in no case can overtime hours of work, day or night, exceed two hours daily and twelve hours weekly. However, this does not apply to people who belong to the health and safety sector, who must always be guaranteed a day of rest without affecting their salary.
Now, keep in mind that these sections of the articles must still be discussed in the Senate. There they could be modified, approved or rejected.
