Citizen’s Valuation in Citizen Income
According to the official website of Social Prosperitythis point is fundamental for this program. It focuses on “to provide enhanced care to households with the greatest poverty and greatest barriers. It will serve Group A households of SISBEN IV with children under 6 years of age and people with disabilities who require care.”

How are beneficiaries chosen?
To access transfers, families must meet certain requirements and share responsibilities, which are defined at the time of registration in the program.
On the other hand, monetary transfers will be made to the household members every 45 days, which is understood as 8 transfers during each year.

What is the delivery amount?
Selected households will receive a maximum cash transfer of Five hundred thousand Colombian pesos ($500,000).
However, if families already receive some other benefit such as VAT Refund, the Citizen Income program will supplement the amount up to the limit of $500,000.
What is happening to indigenous communities?
This sector of the population that was previously in Families in Action transitioned to Citizen Income. The difference is that those households with children under 6 years of age will be linked to the line of Valuation of Carewhile those who have children and adolescents between 6 and 17 years old will fall under the orbit Colombia without Hunger.
