In Colombia the Sisbén has an important function: to categorize the residents of the national territory in different groups with the idea that the authorities can provide them with specific aid taking into account their socioeconomic condition. Below we indicate everything related to the ABC of the Identification System of Potential Beneficiaries of Social Plans.
What are the groups that make up Sisbén?
Currently this database is made up of four main groups. You should know that if you are part of Sisbén you do not immediately have benefits, these will be applied as long as the entities approve your application taking into account the requirements for each subsidy.

You should keep in mind that in this request you must register your contact information along with your home address and also provide the identification documents of all the people who live with you.
Remember that all people born in Colombia or foreigners and who also have a valid identity document may be surveyed by Sisbén officials. In this case it has no impact if they are employees, pensioners or are part of any special population group of the Government.
