First modification:
Last Friday, June 24, the Supreme Court of the United States abolished the law that protects the right to abortion, which had been in force since 1973. It is a historic decision that will allow each state to decide whether to maintain or prohibit the right to interruption pregnancy volunteer. That is to say, the ruling of the Supreme Court indicates that the Constitution “does not grant” the right. From this decision reactions and indignation have been triggered.
What does this US Supreme Court decision translate into in practice? Is what has happened in the US the result of an ultraconservative current that has been managing and influencing for some time and that had Trump as its great standard-bearer?
In this edition of En Primera Plana we analyze and put the context of this whole matter with our guests this week:
– Mathilde Carton, editor of the news section of Elle magazine.
– Angeline Montoya, journalist in the international service of Le Monde, in charge of the Latin American section of Le Monde.
