Dec. 25 () –
The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, has sent a message of hope to all the Ukrainian people on the occasion of Christmas, a celebration that this time the country is facing in “difficult circumstances” due to the Russian invasion, a situation that has asked for “courage and bravery”.
“We will restore freedom to all Ukrainian men and women”, Zelenski asserted in a speech broadcast by the Ukrainian Presidency, in which he highlighted the unity of the Ukrainian people and asserted that “no kamikaze plane is capable of quenching the dawn of Christmas”.
“We will see its glow even underground in a bomb shelter. We will fill our hearts with warmth and light,” he cried, to extol the “steel spirit” of the Ukrainian people.
In this way, it has ensured that its fight “will continue without stopping” and “it will not be threatened by scheduled or emergency blackouts.” “We will never feel a lack of courage and indomitability,” added Zelenski, who pointed out that after so much “bitter news,” he is due to receive “good news.”
Thus, the Ukrainian president has encouraged citizens to celebrate these holidays “as always”, “singing Christmas carols louder than the sound of a generator” or congratulating relatives “even if communication and Internet services do not work”.
Likewise, he has indicated that the country will not wait for “a miracle.” “After all, we created it ourselves,” she concluded.
