Several entities, inside and outside the United States government, have organized an event to encourage investment in Ukraine, a nation that is going through a severe humanitarian crisis as a result of the russian invasion on February 24, 2022.
This is the Association Forum between the US and Ukraine, scheduled to be held in Washington on April 13, at the US Chamber of Commerce.
“This joint event is intended to accelerate American investment and engagement in Ukraine, while creating opportunities for planning and collaboration to support Ukraine’s economic recovery,” the State Department said in a press release Friday.
At the end of last February, The US began the disbursement of 9,900 million dollars in funding approved by Congress to help Kiev meet the basic needs of the population, such as health care, education and emergency services.
The United States government has become the main economic supporter and military aid to Ukraine along with its NATO partners, such as the United Kingdom and Germany, among others.
In addition to the State, the event will feature the work of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Kiev government portfolios and the American Chamber of Commerce itself.
