The biggest highlight of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II’s post-launch roadmap is that all gameplay-related content and features, including maps, game modes, and weapons, will be free – that is, available to everyone. The Season Pass included with the Gold and Ultra Editions offers access to spooky content across the four currently planned seasons. The Gold Edition is priced at €89.99 on PC and €99.99 on console. For an additional €10, the Ultra Edition adds the Ultramarines Cosmetic Pack, which is delivered on day one.
The launch of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II will be “just the beginning” and the start of the first season. During the first few weeks Saber Interactive will be dedicated to collecting feedback to implement quick tweaks and improvements, and then, at a date yet to be determined, Season 2 will begin. This will be when the first round of content will arrive with new PvE missions, a new enemy, the Neo-Volkite pistol, and Lethal difficulty. In 2025, Season 3 will add more PvE missions, a PvP game mode, new arenas, a new enemy, and will expand the Battle Barge, which is the ship that acts as a hub.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II multiplayer is split between Operations, a co-op experience in which three Special Marines complete narrative missions, and Eternal War, a PvP experience in which two teams of six players face off across different maps in three game modes (Annihilation, Seize Ground, and Capture & Control). In both modes, players will be able to choose from six classes, while Marines will be fully customizable characters with cosmetic items.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II is scheduled to launch on September 9 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
