Visions of Mana is the first main installment of the Mana saga in more than fifteen years and tells the story of Val, who has just been appointed guardian of souls and must accompany Hina, his childhood friend, to the Mana Tree. . The objective of him as a votive offering is to reinvigorate the channel of Mana. Throughout this journey they will meet some characters that we can see in the trailer, such as Palamina and Julei. Players will be able to create their own group made up of three of the five playable characters (Val, Karina, Morley, Palamina and Julei), with the support of Ramco, Ash and Hina.
Among the new mechanics of Visions of Mana we find elemental relics, artifacts that house the power of the elements inside. These elemental relics can be used to change classes and gain new abilities during battles. “As each character has a specific class for each elemental relic, it is possible to customize the group as we wish to enjoy an agile and flexible combat style,” explains Square Enix. Additionally, the game brings back the wheel menu, which allows you to pause combat and plan your next move.
Towards the end of the trailer, Vuscav and Flammie appear, two traveling companions who can be summoned. The first allows you to easily navigate the sea, while on the back of the second you fly above the clouds.
Those interested in Visions of Mana will be able to purchase the title in a standard edition (physical and digital), Digital Deluxe Edition (with a set of outfits and 24-hour early access) and a Collector’s Edition, which in exchange for 219.99 euros includes a copy of the standard edition game for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series, the Ramco plush, the Art of Mana Special Issue art book and the Visions of Mana soundtrack in a special box.
