Vietnam and India foster cooperation on innovation and business creation

A Vietnam-India Startups Forum was held in a hybrid format on November 12, as part of the activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties.

In his keynote speech, National Economic University (NEU) President Pham Hong Chuong said that although Vietnam-India economic cooperation has achieved many achievements, bilateral collaboration in innovation, business creation, Market and investment connectivity is not living up to potential as India is ranked as the third most developed start-up ecosystem in the world.

According to him, Vietnam needs to step up cooperation activities, learn from India’s experience and connect the startup ecosystems of both countries.

As Vietnam’s leading university in the fields of economics and business administration, as well as a renowned organization supporting startups, NEU is always ready to accompany Vietnamese and Indian partners to create a network connecting innovative startups, investment funds and experts, helping to promote the activities of startups and serving the socio-economic development of the two countries, he added.

The embassy will continue to carry out activities in the fields of economy, trade, and science and technology, and create more opportunities for start-ups from both sides to connect and enhance cooperation.

The forum, which will bring together about 20 Vietnamese and Indian investment funds and potential start-ups, is expected to open up opportunities for practical and effective collaboration for both parties.
