Vietnam Airlines representative office in Malaysia, together with travel companies Asia Companion Travel and Vietnam TravelMar, organized a tourism promotion workshop entitled “Exploring Vietnam with Vietnam Airlines” in Kuala Lumpur on July 19.

Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Malaysia Tran Viet Thai said that the challenges induced by COVID-19 showed the importance of reconnecting the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Malaysia, giving them new opportunities to further strengthen their friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance.

The diplomat noted that the reopening of Vietnam Airlines flights connecting Hanoi, Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City with Kuala Lumpur and the upcoming Da Nang-Kuala Lumpur route reflect a strong post-pandemic recovery, especially in tourism.

He hopes that more Malaysian tourists will visit Vietnam, which will help enhance trade and personal exchanges between the two nations.

Since mid-March this year, Vietnam has reopened its doors and lifted quarantine measures, while Malaysia has reopened its borders from the first day of April.
