At first, Victoria seemed hesitant, pointing out that he had asked her fellow Spice Girls, Geri Horner, to do the same thing in a previous interview.
After stepping on the scale, Evans commented: “50 kilos, not bad at all, right?”.
Now, more than two decades later, the fashion designer has opened up about the awkward moment and has admitted she found it inappropriate.
Speaking to Vogue Australia for its July issue, the fashion designer revealed: “I went on a TV show called Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush with Chris Evans Many years ago, had just had brooklyn and I lost a lot of weight afterwards. The same thing happened to my mom after her pregnancies.”
He added: “That doesn’t mean I had an eating disorder. And he made me get on the scale to weigh myself. Can you imagine doing that today?
Addressing the fixation of her followers and people in general on her weight, Victoria added: “I have been called Porky Posh in a headline, Skeletal Posh. After I had Brooklyn, there was a picture on the front page of a newspaper outlining every single part of my body that I needed to focus on losing weight from.”
