After leaning towards action for a few years, the franchise resident Evil returned to raw, raw horror in the seventh main installment. Although it is not the scariest video game in history, it is undeniable that it has some scenes that can be very shocking and tense. In fact, it seems that some people couldn’t take the opening minutes and left the adventure before the opening cutscene was over.
In case you didn’t know, in the first cinematic of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard we observe that Ethan Winters, protagonist of the title, watches a video of his wife Mia Winters on his computer. The scene itself isn’t scary, although the second footage where Mia is shown scared does have the potential to be disturbing.

As one user discovered reddit (via Tarreo), there is a small but significant number of players who did not finish the introductory sequence of the Capcom game. This, naturally, is due to various factors, but we have no doubt that one of them is because the initial minutes managed to intimidate a sector of users.
We must remember that we get the trophy named “She’s Alive” when the first cinema ends. Thus, we found that 9% of people who played on PlayStation did not get the trophy, which means that 1 in 10 closed the title before the sequence finished.
It is important to note that you need to start the game for PlayStation Network to record trophies. Of course, there’s always the possibility that the vast majority of people who didn’t see the cutscene just wanted to make sure the game was working properly, so they shut it down and, for some reason, never played it again. Did someone quit the game because he was too scared? It is also a possibility.
But tell us, what do you think of this curious fact? Let us read you in the comments.
