Alis, a graduate in administration and management, and Rosemarys, a lawyer and metallurgy technician, are a couple of entrepreneurial Venezuelans who opted for the traditional food of their country as a way of subsistence in neighboring Guyana, the nation on the border with Venezuela where they arrived with very few resources in 2019.
A year later, at the height of the pandemic and after having lost their jobs, they began to prepare tequeños, some fried cheese sticks that they delivered to homes.
Today, the menu has expanded beyond tequeños to other typical Venezuelan foods, and clientele is growing both among Venezuelans residing in Georgetown and Guyanese nationals, discovering new flavors.
