Vallenar Headquarters of the University of Atacama graduated 172 graduates of Technical and Engineering careers

The Graduation Work subject is the last of each degree and is defended in thesis format by groups, which began to render their presentations before the commissions in December 2022 and ended in January 2023.

In total there were 54 thesis groups, made up of 172 students who took and passed their degree exam, with which they completed the university process at the Vallenar Campus of the University of Atacama and obtained their degrees in Technical and Engineering careers.

For the Academic Director of the Vallenar Headquarters, Mg. Regarding the successful completion of the academic process for the graduates, Carolina Venegas Abarzúa expressed that “it is always gratifying to see the successful completion of a process of effort by the students of the Headquarters, both from technical and engineering careers who In addition, to date they complete, for the most part, 5 years in our House of Studies, however, this is not the only reason, but we can appreciate how much they have grown, how they are able to apply their knowledge innovatively to practice, observe a problem, think and look for a solution and apply to it all the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired along this path».

In the Industry and Services Area, 70 students divided into 19 thesis groups graduated, which have already completed their process, for all of them the Deputy Director Liliana Zúñiga Donoso expressed these words to her students, “congratulate all the students who finished this academic process, as we remember, were very complex years, since their first year was a pandemic with online classes, going on to the second year with face-to-face classes, for them an important change and transition, even so they were able to take this step as relevant as it is graduate, so I congratulate all the students in my area and encourage them to continue with the continuity of studies and enter an engineering to strengthen their disciplinary skills.

In the same way, in the Geomining Area, 69 students took their grade exam, comprised of 25 groups, in which the Deputy Director Dixiana Díaz Vigorena expressed her congratulations to her students, “it is very gratifying to see how they culminate this process of growth, not only professional , but also personal, turned into competent professionals and trained to perform in the areas of their studies, being a participant in their training processes is enriching. For the Vallenar Headquarters of the University of Atacama, it is very important to be able to train professionals, both technicians and engineers in the province, who have access to continue developing without neglecting their families and their chores, without a doubt this is essential for their development and the region. It only remains for me to congratulate our graduates, and wish them the best of success in their working life, representing our House of Studies in the best way.

Likewise, in the Industrial Automation and Maintenance Area, 33 students in 10 groups passed their exam, where Assistant Director Martin Monroy Latrach sent a message to all his students, “it is very important for academics that our students can finish their studies in undergraduate and choose the Universidad de Atacama Sede Vallenar as their specialty academic training, since it has a positive impact on their lives, and we are proud that they complete this process by demonstrating in their degree work the skills obtained during their training, both in the technical careers, such as continuity engineering.

The General Director of the Vallenar Headquarters, Mg. Juan Campos Nazer gave his words to all the graduates, “as a University we are proud to be able to participate in the different academic instances, with greater emphasis in this important and arduous activity that is to culminate with their respective thesis defenses, a complex task , but without a doubt with the preparation and support of the different units of the Vallenar Headquarters, it becomes a reality. We proudly see how students become professionals, gradually defining the path they will follow for the rest of their lives, so the important task of learning does not end at this stage, it will accompany them for the rest of their lives and It must be law to continue growing in their respective jobs and continuity of studies in their respective training cycles.
