USS students promote oral health in children with special educational needs


The Dentistry and Differential Education careers participate in a Collaborative Project that seeks to educate various establishments in the Metropolitan Region in oral health.

Diego Rodríguez, 5th year dentistry student, explains that the challenges have been multiple, due to the adaptation of the activities to boys and girls with special educational needs, but that “the experience has been wonderful in all its aspects. It is beautiful what can be achieved and the positive impact that is generated together with my colleagues in Dentistry and Differential Education. It is always comforting to generate positive impacts in the community”.

For its part, the Technical head of the Differential School E-791, Alicia Flores, highlights that “being able to participate in this project, addressing the issue of oral hygiene and healthy eating for oral care is very relevant for our students, since it is a need that has been made visible in our educational context. The benefits are multiple and the work methodology is very friendly and responds to the needs of the students”.
