Through a message on their social networks, The US Embassy, based in Bogotá, recommended not resorting to intermediaries to request appointments in the visa application process.
(The most difficult visas for Colombians to obtain).
“Remember: the Embassy does not recommend or endorse third parties or companies to advance appointments. We are your official source of information on visas to the United States”, points to the message.
The recommendation is given in the face of some complaints about false promises from companies that promise to speed up the process in the face of long waiting times for appointment approvals.
(How feasible is it for the US to eliminate the visa for Colombians?).
Remember: the Embassy does not recommend or endorse third parties or companies to advance appointments.

Please note that for authorization of a visa in Colombia is necessary for applicants to request an appointment at the Embassy.
There your fingerprints and a digital photo will be taken for your biometric information.
Among the requirements to obtain your authorization you will need a recent photograph and you will have to complete the form DS-160 with your personal data.
(How to take advantage of the ‘boom’ of job offers in the US).
In most cases, those under 14 years of age, adults over 80 years of age and people who already had an authorization of the same category that expired in the last 48 months, can apply for their American authorization without having to go through a interview and they will be able to send or leave their documentation directly at the embassy.
