US announces additional 361 million in humanitarian aid for Ukraine

July 9 () –

The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, announced this Saturday that the United States will allocate an additional 368 million dollars (about 361 million euros) in humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Blinken explained that Washington will allocate “nearly $368 million in additional humanitarian aid to support those affected by Russia’s brutal war in Ukraine.”

“This additional funding includes nearly $288 million that will be channeled through the State Department and more than $80 million that will go through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID),” Blinken said. after meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, in Bali.

These funds will serve to provide food, clean water, cash assistance, protection, accessible shelter, emergency health care, logistics and humanitarian coordination,” Blinken explained.

Furthermore, Blinken has pointed out that there is no indication that Russia is willing to engage in “senseful diplomatic” efforts to end the war. For Blinken, there is a “powerful consensus and Russia has been isolated as it has been so many times since this war began.”
