One of those applications that tend to reproduce a multitude of errors constantly is Android Auto due to the number of mobile phone brands that exist and infotainment units in vehicles.
And one of the errors most reported by the user community in recent months was one that began to be reported at the beginning of December and had to do with voice commands.
Voice commands in Android Auto did not work well for certain users and everything seemed to indicate that it was a recent update.
However, it has just been clarified that it was not actually an Android Auto update that was to blame for voice commands not working well, but it had to do with the Google application.
And interestingly, Google’s latest app update solves this whole vaunted problem of voice commands failing in Android Auto.
The users have reported that, after installing the latest update to the Google application, there are no longer problems with voice commands in Android Auto.
It has nothing to do with the version of Android Auto you are running, although it is recommended that you always have the latest version installed to be one of the first to receive the latest features.
If you want to download the latest version of the Google application, simply access the Google Play Store and update the corresponding application to the latest version.
In any case, if you have automatic updates enabled, it is more than likely that you already have the Google application updated to the latest version.
During 2025, Android Auto will receive a multitude of new features such as compatibility with radio stations without leaving the application, and other improvements that have to do with support for gaming, video and browser applications.
