Researchers from the University of Talca were awarded 25 projects from the Regular Fondecyt instrument of the National Agency for Research and Development (ANID), a figure that represents an approval rate of 51.02% with respect to the total proposals submitted, a percentage that above the national average, which is between 27 and 32%.

For his part, the Director of Research, Roberto Jara, added that “this number of projects achieved and approval rate fills us with pride and reflects the effort of our academics and the guidance and support work that our Directorate has carried out for some years”.

In addition, he stressed that “in terms of discipline there are important aspects. Although our award is concentrated in the natural and exact sciences, we highlight the approval of projects in the social sciences, through legal sciences and psychology, and the consistency demonstrated by the Interdisciplinary Research Institute (i3), an entity that managed to award in three Fondecyt instruments: Regular, Initiation and Postdoctorate”.
