Unemployment rate in Colombia for January 2023 was 13.7%

The Dane released on Tuesday the figures for the labor market in Colombia for January 2023, which showed a drop in the unemployment rate of the national total in the first month of this year compared to the same period in 2022.

According to the report, for the month of January 2023, the unemployment rate of the national total was 13.7%, while in the same month of 2022 it was 14.6%.

For its part, the global participation rate was 63.4%, while in January 2022 it was 62.6%.

Likewise, the occupancy rate was 54.7%, which represented an increase of 1.3 percentage points compared to the same month in 2022 (53.4%).
