The research professor of the UNAB Faculty of Nursing, macarena chepoparticipated in the recent 1st National Conference on Nursing Research «Intercultural Health».

Felipe Salazar Maulen, UNAB Journalist.- Under the title “Cultural competence and quality of care: Challenges for Nursing today«, Chepo presented his work at the event that took place on Friday, June 2 in Arica.

The day was organized by the Faculty of Health Sciences (FACSAL) of the University of Tarapacá and included the participation of researchers from various institutions, including the Universidad Católica del Maule and the Universidad Nacional Jorge Basadre (Peru).

The researcher expressed her gratitude to PhD Natalia Herrera, professor of nursing at FACSAL, who was the organizer of the event.

In this regard, Chepo pointed out that “activities such as these allow for closer ties and the construction of new collaborative work networks on issues as necessary as cultural competence in health.”

The participation of Professor Macarena Chepo in this outstanding national conference demonstrates her commitment to nursing research and her interest in addressing current challenges related to quality of care and cultural competence in the field of nursing.
