The United Nations reported this Friday that Israel has denied access to two missions of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) to provide humanitarian aid in the northern Gaza Strip.

Likewise, he indicated in a press conference that more than 40 percent of aid missions to the north of the Palestinian enclave, controlled by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), have been denied during the past week amid the hostilities.

“Access was also denied to humanitarian missions planned for areas south of central Gaza. The Israeli authorities today only facilitated one mission that required coordination and that mission provided health services to civilians in Khan Younis,” he added.

The United Nations Security Council issued a new resolution on Thursday urging Israel to remove all obstacles in order to deliver the aid needed in the devastated Strip as soon as possible and in the best possible way, six months after the start. of the attacks.

The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), the Israeli military authority in charge of the Palestinian territories, reported this Friday on the social network X that it has inspected and transferred to Gaza 213 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid for the Gazan population. .
