The wrecked plane, an Antonov An-12, was a Ukrainian cargo plane, flying from Serbia to Jordan. The detonations made the authorities suspect that there could be explosive material inside the plane, so experts from the special disaster response unit are already investigating the scene. “We are treating the cargo as hazardous material,” a fire brigade official reported.
At the moment the situation of the people who came on board the aircraft is unknown.
