The Ukrainian authorities have announced this Wednesday that a missile attack has hit “again” a residential area in the Donetsk region, and have urged the population to flee the area so that they do not become “a target for the Russians”. .

“A missile attack hit a residential sector again. The Russian troops are going everywhere they can go. They came to our land with the purpose of killing us, and they will not stop until we stop them,” said the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, on his Telegram account.

Kyrylenko has asked the citizens of the Donestsk region, in eastern Ukraine, to evacuate the area, since it would have become “a dangerous hot spot for civilians as well.” “Don’t become a target for the Russians! (…) Evacuation saves lives,” he explained.

In the city of Sloviansk — one of Moscow’s main targets in Donetsk — Mayor Vadim Liaj has announced the preparation of buses and trains to transport civilians to the west of the country. “Don’t take risks! Pack your bags,” Liaj urged in statements collected by the Unian agency.

After the Ukrainian troops withdrew from the city of Lisichansk, in Lugansk, Russia has focused its offensive on Donetsk, also belonging to Donbas.
